Tuber Borchii

This is the cousin of the Tuber MAGNATUM PICO therefore of the so -called Alba truffle.

It is a small truffle (1 to 7 cm up to 10 cm). Its consistency is fleshy and its intense taste.

Its smell is also powerful, very winged.

These truffles prefer alkaline soil and hide among the roots of oaks, charms, poplars and weeping willows. They are also found near hazelnut trees and under conifers, such as larch, cedars, fir trees and certain species of pines and this All over Europe.

It is therefore less rare than Alba's truffle. It has qualities and flavors close to Alba's truffle but at lower prices.

The maturity period of the Tuber Borchii is from mid-January to the end of April.

It is the most common truffle in products based on white truffles given its more accessible price.

It will accompany white fish, pasta or a risotto very well.

It is used grated or in strips, like most truffles it is not cooked!
