Private truffle hunting course with your dog

Your dog can learn to find truffles.

All breeds are welcome! Share a new activity with your dog during a private course in the Neuchâtel region. A gentle, play-based approach to learning together.

More than 200 dogs trained. I teach you the basics of truffle hunting with a dog and guide you through your first exercises.

Truffle hunting is, above all, a game to share. You learn to observe your dog, understand their reactions and trust them. Your dog explores and puts their nose to work. Together, you build a closer bond while connecting with nature.

To search for real truffles, I work with real truffles.

Flavoured training liquids have no place in my approach: teaching a dog to search for truffle flavouring is not the aim of this course. I want to familiarise your dog with the truffle itself.

I also avoid boxes and imitation truffles as training targets. These objects can add their own odours and those left by handling. My aim is for your dog to search for the truffle without depending on a container or their owner’s scent traces.

During the course, I teach you the basics of preparing exercises and progressing together, using a gentle, play-based approach.

Your course includes

• Around 4 hours of theory and practical exercises for you and your dog.
• An introduction to truffles, their habitats and the basics of truffle hunting.
• Course materials and training truffles to continue practising.
• 12 weeks of personalised advice via WhatsApp or phone after the course.

Practical information

• 1 person + 1 dog per course.
• All breeds, aged 6 months to 10 years.
• Neuchâtel region · June to March.

After the course, you continue practising at your own pace. For 12 weeks, I answer your questions remotely to help you progress. Every dog learns at its own pace.
